The Mavericks took the early 7-0 lead on their first possession as Braxton Thompson (22) scored from 3 yards. Thompson rushed 44 yards on 10 carries. Also shown, Josh Evans

Tanner Beasley (25) put the game away for the Mavericks with a 71-yard TD sprint in the final period.
The Mavericks moved out to 14-0 first quarter lead when John Ballengee (9) fired a 41-yard scoring strike to Jordan
McKinney. Ballengee connected with 6 different receivers on 11 attempts for 111
