After trailing by 14 points in the first quarter and struggling to get in the game,
Maverick fullback Braxton Thompson scores a two-point conversion, knotting the score at 14 in the second quarter. Also shown James Bennett (70), Cody Parker (65) and Sam Gravely (53).
Braxton Thompson scored from one yard out as the Mavericks tied the contest at 21 all
late in the third quarter. Thompson rushed for 78 yards on 26 carries. Shown here Josh Steffey (50), Trevor Smith (28), Cody Parker (65) and Shannon Maxwell (55).
Maverick QB John Ballengee (8) overcame two first-half interceptions to pass for 88
yards and a two of touchdowns. Ballengee scored the game-winning TD in the second
overtime, running 8 yards on a naked bootleg and diving over the defender into the end zone.

Not to be denied, Tanner Beasley fights his way 10 yards into the end zone as the Mavericks
score first in overtime. Beasley rushed for 136 yards on 23 carries.
