Senior QB John Ballengee (9) completed 13 of 25 passes for 163 yards and one touchdown, intercepted and
returned a Red Devil pass for another score but it was not enough to propel the Mavericks past Ravenswood.
Against the Red Devils, Caleb Ballard (41) closed out his senior season with two receptions for 24
yards on offense, and stellar defensive play that included a drive stopping interception.
Ravenswood's Luke Corley (7) led all rushers with 66 tough to get yards, but is dropped for a loss here
by Braxton Thompson (22) and Jackson Mohler (20).
Senior Jackson Mohler (20) was limited to 21 rushing yards and two pass receptions for 10 more as the quick
Red Devils simply shut down the Maverick offense.
Tied at 14 all, Mitch Boone (57) made this solo stop forcing the Devils to face a 3rd and 13
on their own 2-yard line after the intermission. The Devils put the game away
with a crushing 98-yard TD pass play. Also shown, Josh Steffey (50), Cody Parker
(65) and Sam Gravely (53).
Limiting Braxton Thompson (22) to 36 rushing yards, the Devils held the Maverick ground game to 82
yards. Ravenswood will advance to meet undefeated (11-0) Wayne.
