Southern California !  I have been there, but wasn't there for Reunion I.  Ironically,  I took a cruise out of San Diego, in 2005, before I had reconnected with the Sinopians.  Bob Nimmerfroh hosted this reunion and although I don't know what sites  were visited,  I understand it was a great Reunion.

They signed up for a 6 hour tour !

Reunion I Activities:

Thursday--- Chester & Claire and Ron & Nancy arrived at hotel for check-in. Had a snack supper at Bob’s and then hang out at Bob’s for the evening. We viewed a DVD from the DLI reunion Ron and Nancy attended in the previous year and exchanged tall tales, looked at some of Bob’s risqué pictures from Sinop, etc. etc.

Friday--- We all drove to the waterfront in the morning to visit the Maritime museum and toured the Russian sub and the WW II carrier Midway museum. We had lunch at the marina we also toured a couple smaller ships in the museum display.

In the evening Nancy & Ron drove to a trolley stop and rode to Petco Park to watch a San Diego Padres game. The rest of the crew then spent the night on the town.

Saturday--- Everybody went to Balboa Park to tour a couple museums including the Air & Space museum, an automotive museum, a botanical garden and best of all a large model train museum. Bob hosted our midday meal at a top notch restaurant at the park.

Sunday---This was departure day for Ron & Nancy for their drive back to New Mexico. Chester and Claire stayed another day and they and Bob kept each other entertained until the Drykes’ left for the San Francisco area.
