"Now You Have A Choice" - Elect Stephen R. Schaeffer

Welcome to our web site! On this home page we'll introduce our campaign and highlight important areas on our site.
 
Steve is running for the elected office of Erie County Clerk of Court of Common Pleas on the November 4, 2008 General Elections Ballot against a five term incumbent (20 years) who has run out of fresh and innovative approaches to running that office.
 
What does he want to do?
  • Create a Public Records Access Site on the Web.
  • New services without extra costs.
  • Collect delinquent costs.
  • Improve customer relations skills of the staff.
  • Protect individual privacy rights of litigants.
  • Have openness to new ideas and implement the ones that will work.
 
His experience includes:
  • Deputy Clerk for the Erie County Court of Common Pleas - Juvenile Division, Sandusky OH for the past 10 years.
  • Administrative Officer and Manager with the U.S. Federal Government for 16 years.
  • Military Veteran (Active and Reserve) with command, administrative and logistical assignments. Retired as a Lt.Colonel with 35 years service.

Running a campaign is a significant challenge. It is difficult to get a message out to as many people as possible in a short time. This web site is a great way to quickly introduce ourselves and educate visitors on the key issues of the campaign.

Our goal is to educate the public and encourage you to vote in the upcoming election. Your support is critical. Together we can all make a difference.
