DEC 26 - NO FORMAL GATHERING

DEC 25 - MERRY CHRISTMAS

DEC 19 - We met at the library for a meditation.

DEC 12 - We met at Joan Girton's home for a meditation followed by Coffee, Cakes and Cans at 11:00. We brought can goods for us to donate to Church Community Services also called the Food Pantry.

DEC 5 -We met for a meditation using Dr. Wayne Dyer's CD, "Gettting in the Gap"

NOV 28 - We met with Mike Karbalaeali who talked to us about the Muslim religion. His wife is a Roman Catholic and he is Muslim. He discussed how they are raising their children.

NOV 21 - HAPPY THANKSGIVING... NO MEDITATION TODAY

NOV 14 - We met at Nancy Boren's home and Diane Winn led us in a "blessing" of Nancy's home. A continental breakfast was served followed by the blessing.

NOV 7 - We met at Ten Thousand Villages in Goshen. Kathy Mow has arranged for Susan Nelson to do a presentation of some of the stories from the villages of the artisans. The stories were amazing and really discribe the mission of Ten Thousand Villages.

OCT 31 - We met at Sacred Waters with Jeff Fisher at Sacred Waters as he played the Chakra bowls for us. 

OCT 24 - We walked the Labyrinth at St. Mary's College

OCT - 17 - We met at the Bristol Public Library for a meditation on our own. Nancy brought the CD, "Getting in the Gap" by Dr. Wayne Dyer for us to use as our medtation theme. It was/is very powerful medtation technique and one that we will share with our larger group.

OCT 10 - Rev. Dick Heiss was with us at the Bristol Public Library to discuss a writing by Martin Buber. It seems we are living in a society in which civility/civil discourse is a dying species. We see this clearly in the political and social aspects of everyday living. Winning and defending one's position seems to be more important these days than listening to the other person with respect. Jewish philosopher and theologian Martin Buber offered a model of relationship building and practice in his writing, “I and Thou”.  Dick presented a summary of Buber along with a group exercise.

 OCT 3 - We met at Joy Brenner's home. Tulsi was with us and told us of her experiences in India. She led us in a powerful meditation.

SEPT - 26 - We met at Kathy Mow's home for a Harvest Moon Celebration with Pirkko Miller. We did a drumming meditation in her home with the intention to help Kathy's father make the transition to the other side. He had been ill for several years and time had come for his soul to be released. It was a beautiful thing. Mark made a lovely bonfire for us and we drummed the Harvest Moon to appear to us from among the clouds.

SEPT - 19 - We canceled this week as the majority of us had previoius commitments.

SEPT - 12 - We met at Janet Burget's home. Janice Luckenbill spoke to our group on the details and benefits of a walking meditation. Janice also did a centering meditation with us.

SEPT 5 - We met at the Bristol Public Library and had a meditation with Joan's CD of Baba and the "Healing Ohms". Kathy Mow also let us in some breathing exercises.

AUG 29 - We were at Kathy Mow's home with Tom Searcy & Diane Winn of Through Eagles Eyes. They presented their upcoming retreat in Arizona- Unleashing Creativity - Realizing your Maximum Potential. We were able to be interactive and experiential in the short time they had.  We had a salad carry-in following the presentation.

AUG 22 - Rev. Dick Heiss was our guest. In his presentation "Finding 'Holy' Ground, we found a time to (1) get in touch with the spirit in us; (2) engage in spirit sharing dialogue; (3) share spirit nurturing resources with each other for the journey.

AUG 15 - No formal meditation... trip to be with Robert Walker was canceled. Some of us met for coffee.

AUG 8 - We met at Ray of Light Holistic Health Center. Kris Laidlaw discussed with us Reconnective Healing and gave us a demonstration. She will have books available by Eric Pearl on Reconnective Healing at her place in a few weeks for us to purchase for reference.

AUG 1 - We met with Teji (Ruth) Dilley  for a Yoga meditation at her studio.

JULY 25 - We had a Zen meditation with Dr. Petersen at his office in South Bend. As always, it was a powerful presentation for all of us attending.

JULY 18 - We walkedthe Labyrinth at St Mary’s College in South Bend

JULY 11 - We had a "Meditation of Love" followed by a brunch at Heidi's to honor Carole Morgan, Nancy's daughter, on the upcoming wedding in Hawaii.

JULY 4 - HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY

JUNE 27 - The Rev. Barbara Gulbranson presented a program on Spiritual Mind Treatment followed by a salad carry-in luncheon at the home of Rose Benjamin. Many of us were interested in taking the Spiritual Mind treatment Course and will sign up with Unitity Church in South Bend. Classes will be from 10 - 12 on Thursdays beginning Sept. 6 for 10 weeks. Call the church or Rose if you are interested.

JUNE 20 - No formal meditation.

JUNE 13 - We had a garden meditaton in the garden at Murphy's Bed and Breakfast in Bristol. Our meditation was followed by a marvelous luncheon in the dining room. 

JUNE 6 - We met at Neil Gilbert's office in South Bend in the afternoon. Several of us had lunch at Tippecanoe Place before the meditation with Neil.

MAY 30 - We met with Kris Laidlaw at Ray of Light Holistic Health. We had a Meditation On Chocolate from 9:30 to 10:30, followed by a Healthy Chocolate Tasting.

MAY 23 - We met at Kathy Mow's home in the country. Tom Scearcy and Diane Winn were with us for our meditation on how to have our deepest, most private dreams fulfilled honoring each woman's individual journey. They explained why this moment in history offers the power to blossom fully. We followed with lunch for those who could stay.

MAY 16 - We met at the Bristol Public Library for our meditation.

MAY 9 - The walk on the Labirynth at St. Mary's College was canceled.

MAY 2 - We met with Kris Laidlaw at Ray of Light Holistic Center. She will continue to give us ways to enhance our spiritual growth. We enhanced our awareness by seeing the energy light of others. 

APRIL 25 - We met at the Bristol Public Library for a meditation.

APR 18 - We met with Kris Laidlaw at Ray of Light Holistic Center.  She continued to give us ways to enhance our spiritual growth.

APRIL 4 - We met at Kris Laidlaw's Ray of Light Holistic Center. She is a massage therapist with many talents. She told us her story of spiritual growth and how she arrived back in Elkhart.
 
MARCH 28 - We met at Joan Girton's home. Kathy Mow was in charge of the program.
 
MARCH 21 - We met at the office of Dr. Tom Petersen in South Bend for our meditation. We heard a few details of his journey in meditation including his trip to Japan and then focused on the topic, "How is it that  thinking gets in the way of life?" 
 
MARCH 14 - Our meditation was canceled.
 
MARCH 7 - We met with Pirkko Miller for a drumming meditation at Mary Holtz's home.

FEB 28 - Canceled after being rescheduled from Feb. 14th - at  Heidi's house - MEDITATION ON CHOCOLATE AND LOVE. We will reschedule this again.

FEB - 21 - CANCELED

FEB 14 - Canceled due to a snow storm.
 
FEB 7 - Our visit to the office of Neil Gilbert was canceled due to weather problems. We will reschedule this one.
JAN 31 - We met at the BRISTOL PUBLIC LIBRARY with Lem Joyner for a meditation and to answer the question, "How do you define your spirituality?"
 
JAN 24 - We met with Orval Schrock for a chanting meditation. 
 
JAN 17 - We did a Yoga meditation and breath work with Teji at her studio.

JAN 10 - We met at the BRISTOL PUBLIC LIBRARY - Joan Girton brought a audio tape by Dr. Andrew Weil on breathing.

JAN 3 - We did some planning for the future and a meditation for those of us who wanted to regroup for the new year. We also had a visit from Lynn Marie who did a beautiful dance for us and then led us in a dance meditation. Lynn Marie is moving from the area.
