THE YEAR OF 2011  

 

AUGUST 3 - We met at Kathy Mow’s home with Frances St. Claire. Frances helps people discover and befriend their inner child, become more self-realized, live more mindfully, practice meditation more effectively. With her extensive experience in India with great masters and gurus, she has become a source of infinite wisdom for those who are her followers. She was a gift to our group.

 

JULY 27 - We met at the BPL for our meditation experience. Following a chi qigong warm up we listen to a healing CD by Geneele Crump.

 

JULY 20 - We postponed our trip to the Hermitage for later as there were not enough of us able to go again this time. Kathy Mow led us in a meditation after a discussion of the plans we need to make for the future of the MMM group. It seems that the road trips are becoming difficult to do with so many of us busy throughout the year.

 

JULY 13 - We had planned to go to the Hermitage but changed this plan to go next week. Several of us met at the library.

 

JULY 6 - We met at the library for a short meditation using a CD by Louis Hay

 

JUNE 29 - We had to postpone our trip to Jo Ulrich's farm. We will reschedule in the fall.

 

JUNE 22- We went to Pathways Retreat in Goshen. Julie led us in a walking meditation in the Labyrinth

 

JUNE 15 - Our trip to Gilchrist was canceled and will be rescheduled at a later date.

 

JUNE 8 - We went to Sacred Waters for our program -Green Tara Meditation (Dance) with Jenny Mish. The Tara Dance is a tantric (non-sexual) Buddhist practice in honor of the feminine Buddha.

 

JUNE 1 - We met at the Bristol Public Library for our meditation led by one of our favorites, our own Susie Holzshuh.

 

MAY 25 - We met at the Library and had our program with the Venerable Wuling. As always, it was a very thought provoking Dharma talk.

 

MAY 18 - We met at Nancy Boren's home. Tom Searcy and Diane Winn from Through Eagles Eyes discussed what we want from our spiritual paths through conversation and introspective journeying to discover our personal quest toward connection with the Oneness that has so many names.

 

MAY 11 -  Rev. Dick Heiss led us in a meditation at BPL. He discussed the life of Henri Nouwen. He quoted the book, "The Return of the Prodigal Son" several times. It is a great book for those of you who want more information.

 

FROM APRIL 6 to MAY 11 - WE TOOK A SABBATICAL

 

MARCH 30 - We met at the Bristol Public Library for a CD meditation

 

MARCH 23 - We had to cancel our trip to the Hindu Temple of Michiana today so instead we met at Kathy Mow's home for a meditation. We will reschedule our visit at a later time.

 

MARCH 16 - Susie Holzshuh presented the Brain Illumination animated DVD journey for personal and planetary enlightenment inspired by Her Holiness Sai Maa Lakshmi Devi. "Tread the path of wise men and women from many traditions - illumine your physical and subtle bodies with your own Light! when you bathe your whole system with Light, beginning with the brain, it washes away negative patterns, and cultivates the capacity for the Divine. this process, inspired by Her Holiness Sai Maa Lakshmi Devi, shows you how to invite the Light of creation to re-create yourself as Light."

 

MARCH 9 - We met at Kathy Mow's home for a presentation on Brain Illumination.

 

MARCH  2 - We met at the Bristol Public Library for a meditation on "Forgiveness" led by Joan. 

 

FEBRUARY 23 - We went to South Bend to the Handmaids of the Most Holy Trinity for a Mass with Father Ed Ruetz followed by a visit with him and Sister Emmanuel.

 

FEBRUARY 16 - We met at the BPL for a "Snow Flake" meditation led by Joan

 

FEBRUARY 9 - We met at the Bristol Public Library. Our guest was be the Venerable Wuling, our Buddhist nun, visiting Elkhart from Australia. We are thrilled to have her with us again for a Dharma talk and meditation. 

 

FEBRUARY 2 - MEETING CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER...At some point in time, we will meet at the Bristol Public Library to listen to a CD on "Conscious Aging" by Ram Dass.  

 

JANUARY 26 - We met at the BPL for a meditaiton on the "Violet Flame" with Susie Holzshuh.

 

JANUARY 19 - We met at the BPL for a planning meeting and a meditation.

 

JANUARY 5 AND 12 - NO MEDITATION - HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL

UPCOMING WEDNESDAY MMM EVENTS

AUGUST 10 - 10:15 - We will be meeting at Barbara McArthur’s home on Coverdale Lake. Our guest will be Pastor Karen Strietelmeier from Zion Lutheran Church.

Pastor Karen will be leading us in a discussion on "What is God's Vision - Recapturing God's Global Vision"  and guiding us in a short meditation. Pastor Karen has recently focused her spiritual journey on being a pastor at Zion Lutheran Church for the past four years. Prior to this career path, she was in retail management and designing women's clothing, she has two daughters (one also in retail management), and has come to her current pathway when she married her pastor in Florida, who encouraged her to become a candidate for the seminary.

 

AUG 17 - 11:00 - We will meet at Dr. Tom Petersen's office in South Bend for our meditation. We will be having our gathering in his new Zendo, which is behind his office on St. Peter Street. We will meet at the CR 17 toll road exit at 10:20 so that we can be at his place by 11:00.

 

AUG 24  & AUG 31 - WE WILL MEET AT 10:15 AT THE BRISTOL PUBLIC LIBRARY UNLESS OTHERWISE ANNOUNCED. The programs are in the planning stage.

 

SEPTEMBER 7 - Frances St. Claire will be meeting with us again. Details to be annouced.

 

SEPTEMBER  14 - 10:15 - BPL - Barbara Gulbranson will be with us and will lead us in a discussion on her 5-step ANGEL Talk Program.
