For musicians who are checking me out - enter at your own risk. However, it
does provide insight into my philosophy and outlook on playing, and on music in general.
The bottom line: I take GREAT pride in this area. How the instrument sounds
and feels to play means everything to me. I am very detailed and exacting with the sound, looks, and other characteristics
of my set-up. A great deal of energy and goes toward that end. For instance, I try to record myself EVERY time I sit
down to play the drums . . . looking for clues, inspiration, to evaluate the sound, the feel - everything.
That's what makes drums so fun . . .
