I was splitting moustache hairs with this one just messing around. I was sweeping the blade 1/4" above my finger catching the hair. This knife is meant for a right handed person since the bevel is on the left side. A left hand knife has the bevel on the right side. A wood chisel is the same way, check it out!!  (4-11-07) today a friend needed to cut some kitchen carpet but didnt have a knife so I let him test this blade out. It cut through 12 layers (it was rolled up) and even though the edge was dulled a little it would still skin a deer. Its blade is 3 13/16" long with a handle that is roughly 4" long and overall is 7 5/8".

I contour each handle so it fits the hand well. i can make a handle thinner if needed but the maximum is just over 1" on any knife.
