History & Relationships: |
Not unlike his Forgotten RealmsTM
counter-part, Hoar, Hastur is a extremely bitter entity. Though
prone to lashing out in extreme acts of violence, he generally
attempts to keep his temper at no more than a rolling boil. He is an extremely moody deity
and as likely to severely punish as reward his worshippers.
Before Gods Fall Hastur was a much more even-handed deity, and
often worked along side Aldamar.
It was during the course of Gods Fall that he began to change.
What exactly the events were that caused him to grow angry,
bitter, and violent are unknown to all but him, and he refuses to
discuss the matter.
Hastur has at best poor relations with most other deities. His
outlook now often puts him at odds with Aldamar, but the two are
still at
least civil. Much of his time is spent in pursuit of ways to
purge the pantheon of several deities; Darkjoye, Tykhoor and
Vhokuun. His enmity for these three has its roots in the Gods Fall
Wars, it is
believed that they all wronged and/or cheated him in some way that
he is simply unable or unwilling to forgive. |
