Bad Medicine finds the “cure” against EI Kids

In
a battle of teams looking for their first win of the season the Carterville Evil Intent Kids team took on Southern Illinois
Bad Medicine.
The
Kids team had only scored single points in their first two matches to fall to 0-2 while Bad Medicine had yet to cross the
goal this season and also fell to 0-2. But this all changed on this day.
The
Kids team came out strong and before the dust settled they had a 2-0 advantage on Bad Medicine. It was looking like Bad Medicine was going to find scoring difficult for the third straight match. But when the second quarter started so did Bad Medicines offense.
Jason
Morse, who had not been much of a factor in their first two matches, turned it on and took out two of the Kids and scored
the first point of Bad Medicines season to make it 2-1. Then Bad Medicines defense
did its job to hold the Kids scoreless through the second quarter. Just before
halftime Jason of Bad Medicine pushed across their second point of the day and at halftime the teams were deadlocked at 2-2.
The
third quarter started out with Bad Medicine continuing their offensive barrage and they pushed two more points across to lead
4-2 heading into the 4th quarter. Then the kids defense stepped up and shutout
S.I. Bad Medicine in the 4th quarter and made it interesting with a late score. Time
was running out for the Evil Kids as they tried to score to take it to overtime. They came out strong and aggressive but the
Bad Medicine’s defense stood tall and made the Evil Kids pay for their early aggressiveness and held on for a 4-3 win. Both teams showed vast improvement from their prior matches. Even though they are out of title contention for 2007, look out for these teams in 2008!
