Here is the real stuff. Drum removal and disk brake installation.
I started by compressing the coil spring. I did this by putting
the car on all fours, and installing the compressor while there was weight
on the spring. This kept me from having to wrench on it for an hour
to compress it. I also loosened the lugs while it was on the ground, and
then up in the air it went. I pulled the tire, pulled out the spring,
and went to work on the ball joints and tie rods. Once those were
loose (with the help of a few solid raps of a ball-peen hammer), I turned
to the brake line. Unfortunately, it was rusted solid, even though I had
clear-coated it. I snapped it off.
