2005 State History Award Winners with Gov. James Blanchard

Each year, the Historical Society of Michigan presents State History Awards in several different categories.  Nominees for these awards are evaluated by a panel of judges.  This year, the State History Awards, for publications and media were presented at a reception held at the Michigan State University Museum.  The remaining awards were presented at an awards banquet held at the Student Union on the campus of Michigan State University. The award ceremonies took place on Friday, September 23, 2005, the first evening of the State History Conference.

This Chester Township History & Genealogy website received a State History Award, in the Communications category, for “Outstanding Website Design”.  The award was presented to Jo Kelly, the website administrator.
