Obama's Changes Would Be Permanent and Devastating;BY MICHAEL MEDVED CLICK TO READ.

This is worth  reading regardless of your politics.
Obama: By  Bill Brown of the Billy Graham Team

Bill Brown, is a highly respected retired member of the Billy Graham team so, I take his assessment of Obama very seriously and for that reason accept his challenge to pass this on. I share his concern about the 'rock star' image Obama has and watch with growing concern at the celebrity status the media has foisted upon him. Here is hope this email informs you in  a wise way.

The Obama Tidal Wave

We are witnessing a political phenomenon with Barack Obama of rare magnitude.  His speeches have inspired millions and yet most of his Followers have no idea of what he stands for except platitudes of Change' or that he says he will be a 'Uniter'. The power of speech from
a charismatic person truly can be a powerful thing. Certainly Billy Graham had charisma. Both his manner of speech and particularly the content changed millions.  On the extreme other hand, the charisma of Adolph Hitler, too, inspired millions and the results were catastrophic.
Barack Obama certainly is no Hitler or a Billy Graham, but for many Americans riding on the Obama Tidal Wave it is just like a surfer who might be ecstatic and euphoric while riding a tidal wave, but the reality of the ride is what happens when it hits shore.

Just Some of What Defines Barack Obama:

*He voted for partial birth abortion.
*He voted no on notifying parents of minors who get out-of-state abortions.
*Supports affirmative action in Colleges and Government (quotas).
*In 2001 he questioned harsh penalties for drug dealing as being too
severe.
*Says he will deal with street level drug dealing as minimum wage affair.
*Admitted his use of marijuana and cocaine in high school and in college.
*His religious convictions are very murky.
*He is willing to meet with Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Kim Jung Il and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
*Has said that one of his first goals after being elected would be to have a conference with all Muslim     Nations
*Opposed the Patriot Act.
*First bill he signed that was ever passed was campaign finance reform.
*Voted to allow law suits against gun manufacturers.
*Supports universal health-care.
*Voted yes on providing habeas corpus for Guantanamo detainees.
*Supports granting driver's licenses to illegal immigrants.
*Supports extending welfare to illegal immigrants.
*Voted yes on comprehensive immigration reform.
*Voted yes on allowing illegal aliens to participate in Social Security.
*Wants to make the minimum wage a 'living wage'.
*Voted with Democratic Party 96 percent of 251 votes.  (241 votes Demo, 10 votes Republican)
*Is a big believer in the separation of church and state.
*Opposed to any efforts to Privatize Social Security and instead supports increasing the amount of tax paid into Soc. Sec. Tax Increase.
*He voted No on repealing the Alternative Minimum Tax which now hits middle-income brackets.
*He voted No on repealing the 'Death' Tax - Tax Increase.
*He wants to raise the Capital Gains Tax - Tax Increase.
*Has repeatedly said the surge in Iraq has not succeeded...which is not true.
*He is ranked as the most liberal Senator in the Senate today and that takes some doing.

If your political choices are consistent with Barack Obama's and you think that his positions will bring America together or make it a better place, then you will probably enjoy the ride and not forward this Email.
If you are like most Americans that after examining what he stands for Are truly not in line with his record, it would be prudent to get off the wave or better yet, never get on, before it comes on shore and undermines the very foundations of this great Country. We have limited
time to save America or the Supreme Court, as we know it.

Inaction is action.  If you agree this is important, pass it on. The mainstream media will not do it for you!

Bill Brown
Billy Graham Team, Retired

Thank you Elisabeth

AGAINST REPUBLICANS

Quotes from Nation of Islam's Louis Farrakhan

In that levee, there was a 25 foot hole, which suggested that it may have been blown up, so that the water would destroy the black part of town…(9.12.05)

If the Red Cross doesn’t act right then it must be destroyed and something else should be put in its place. (9.19.05)

(10.15.05) Farrakhan: "FEMA is too white and so is the Red Cross."

Garrison Keillor in part, on Republicans (found on thenation.com)

“Not that teeth-grinders are to be disparaged: I enjoy, in small doses, the over-the-top right-wingers who have leaked into AM radio on all sides in the past twenty years. They are evil, lying, cynical bastards who are out to destroy the country I love and turn it into a banana republic, but hey, nobody's perfect. And now that their man is re-elected and they have nice majorities in the House and Senate, they are hunters in search of diminishing prey. There just aren't many of us liberals worth banging away at, but God bless them, they keep on coming.”

“The reason you find an army of right-wingers ratcheting on the radio and so few liberals is simple: Republicans are in need of affirmation, they don't feel comfortable in America and they crave listening to people who think like them. Liberals actually enjoy living in a free society; tuning in to hear an echo is not our idea of a good time. I go to church on Sunday morning to be among the like-minded, and we all say the Nicene Creed together and assume nobody has his fingers crossed, but when it comes to radio, I prefer oddity and crankiness. I don't need someone to tell me that George W. Bush is a deceitful, corrupt, clever and destructive man--that's pretty clear on the face of it. What I want is to be surprised and delighted and moved.”

"I don't worry about the right-wingers on AM radio. They are talking to an audience that is stuck in rush-hour traffic, in whom road rage is mounting, and the talk shows divert their rage from the road to the liberal conspiracy against America. Instead of ramming your rear bumper, they get mad at Harry Reid. Yes, the wingers do harm, but the worst damage is done to their own followers, who are cheated of the sort of genuine experience that enables people to grow up. The best of what you find on public radio is authentic experience. It has little to do with politics.”

“This from a man that has a show on NPR which ALL AMERICAN TAX PAYERS PAY INTO LIKE IT OR NOT.” His liberal buddies also get subsidized on PBS. So when will the liberal shows pay for their own shows without help from US? No time soon in my opinion.

I do not agree with Mr. Keillor in these area because I can only go to one place to really hear news and that is the Fox News Channel: there is such a liberal slant everywhere else.

ACLU

The American Civil Liberties Union is the point organization in this effort. It supports all abortion-on-demand, including late term, no parental consent for minors having abortions, euthanasia with consent, gay marriage, and the free speech rights of the North American Man-Boy Love Association, which has posted instructions on how to rape children on its website.

The ACLU opposes public funding for the Boy Scouts because their oath mentions God, the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools, public displays of the baby Jesus at Christmas and any restraint on internet pornography in public libraries.

For the most part, the western media sympathizes with the ACLU and promotes its point-of-view. Thus, the secular message is a constant in our society, and the hits just keep on coming.

And where is the opposing point-of-view? Well, there are a few media outlets that give traditionalists a fair shake, but very few.

I believe organized religion can be a champion of human rights and provide resistance to secular societies, which, if they progress much further, will never be able to defeat the fanatical Islamic fundamentalists. The more permissive the western world becomes, the more it rejects discipline and avoids confronting evil, the greater the danger to freedom will be.

Update: 10.12.05

ACLU defends NAMBLA; for free  (National American Man Boy Love Assoc.  a group that advocates the criminal rape of children. (on their site they you have the right to teach people how to rape children). They have the right to do that under free expression.

Defends the right of people to obtain and look at virtual child porn. They had defended the right of people to obtain real child porn.

Supports live sex acts in Oregon.

It opposed parental notification for abortions and restrictions on late-term abortions for their under age daughters.

Opposes doctors telling police about staturtory rape cases.

They oppose the Minutemen on the border. And are against the no fly lists to discourage terrorists from bording airlines.

The ACLU opposed the Minuteman project. Isn't the border protest a legitimate form of expression?

It opposes the Patriot Act;which is designed to give the U.S. authorities more latitude to stop terrorism. It wnat more Abu GHraib photos released.

The group disapproves of celebrating the birth of Jesus.

Opposes singing a Christmas Carol in a public school.

This isn't about freedom. It's about imposing a progressive agenda on a traditional country.

There are 400,000 members.

In Louisiana, they are demanding that public officials that allow someone to say something about God in the wrong place should be sent to jail.

To know about it there is a book called “The ACLU VS. America” by Alan Sears

American Assoc. of Retired Persons (AARP) Favors;

  • Strict gun control
  • Entitlements four migrant workers
  • Progressive tax policy; Tax Revenue sources should distribute the tax burden according to peoples ability to pay.
  • The death tax; even though most seniors oppose it.
  • Backed Pres. Bush’s drug plan but opposes private Social Security investment.
  • Wants to raise the payroll tax.
  • Wants to raise the gasoline taxes.

Do I believe in Gay's Marrying? No.

I believe gays should have legal rights, like visiting each other in the hospital, seems easy enough as a signature on a release form. And being able to leave their items to their partner if one dies. That seems just as simple as visiting in a hospital. Maybe I am over simplifying, but I do not think that gay people need to take away the sanctity of marriage. There must be some document that can be drawn up to take care of all the issues that do not seem fair to them.

Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney (R) apposes removing Mother and Father on the Birth Certificates. (7.26 )He instructed hospitals to cross out father or mother and writing second parent. “Each child has a mother and father, they should have the right to have their mother and father known to them and that is something I want to preserve on a birth certificate. My view is that it is wrong on paper and it is wrong on fact. Every child deserves to have a mother and a father, and a birth certificate should reflect mothers and fathers.” Just to let you know he is apposed to same sex marriage. Since Massachusetts is the only state that has Gay marriage legal, they want the birth certificate to read parent A and parent B.

Making Gay marriage legal is just the start of what would come.

Places where Gay Marriage is legal.

Belgium, Spain, Netherlands, and now Canada as of 7.20.05

States with Medical Marijuana Laws

California     Montana     Alaska     Nevada     Colorado     Oregon     Hawaii     Vermont     Maine     Washington     Maryland.

I don't get why people who want medical marijuana just don't take it in pill form. This makes me believe the hype isn't for it mediacally but just to "smoke it". How come no one talks about people taking it as a pill?

Number One city in recycle is San Francisco at 63%.

Just a notation about the new sex offender site, there are 6 states that do not provide sufficient information and they are: Oregon, Penn. Vermont, (these first 3 states are making it difficult to get Jessica’s Law past.) Rhode Island Nevada, and So. Dakota. None of these states do not share the address information with their citizens of their state! Wow! I think the links on the Political Page might be more accurate but the site is being upgraded so it isn't working at this time.

Nearly 4,500 sex offenders lived in the 14 Parishes (counties) hit by Hurricane Katrina.

Nearly 14,000 people on parole or probation.

In Florida there are 35,000 registered sex offenders! Nation wide around 250,000.  O'Reilly show on FOX

States Tough on Child Sex Offender Laws:

WA, ID, CA, AZ, NM, ND, SD, MN, IA, WI, OK, MS, WV, VA, NC, SC, FL, NH.

States considering tough child sex offender laws are:

NV, CO, NE, IL, OH, KY, MA, NJ, DE.

States Soft on Sex Offender Laws; But Governors are trying to change the laws are:

MT, UT, KS, AR, GA, MD.

States Apathetic on Child Sex Offender Laws Are:

OR, WY, AK, TX, MO, LA, AL, HI, MI, PA, NY, CT, ME.

Why doesn't every state pass Jessica's Law (like Florida)? It gives child sex offenders 25 years for the first offense. Life for the second offense.

States 10 years + for first child sex offense are:

WA, NV, AZ, SD, CO, NM, IL, TN, WV, NC.

New Sex Offender Site; Are they near you?

Countries Age of Consent; that adults can have sex with a teen.
Mexico is age 14. According to UNICEF; United Nations Children's Fund.
Canada is age 14. House of Commons Journal “A motion to raise consensual sex between adults and youth from 14 to 16 was defeated on September 28 2005.”

Countries that have human trafficking; the reasons are, the sex slave trade and forced labor: Bolivia,  Cambodia, Jamaica, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Pogo,  Burma, Cuba, Equator, North Korea, Sudan, Venezuela.  United Arab Emirates has become a little better from a tier 3 to 2. They don't just do the sex trade but also domestic servitude, child camel jockeying (young boys 4, 5, and 6 years old sold from Bangladesh and Pakistan transported to the gulf half starved to stay under 50 pounds, strapped to camels and forced to race them.) Last June the Secretary of State gave them the lowest rating, however four months after the report they did take some steps. About 600 camel jockeys rescued, they set up a shelter with UNICEF, and they have started to address the problem.

Mexico Just missed being a tier 3! Per Ambassador John Miller, U.S. State Department Sr. Advisor on Sex trafficking.

ILLEGAL ALIENS

Gary Miller R California Congressman is co-author of a new bill that would stop legalizing illegal immigration babies.

1 in 10 babies are born to Mexican mothers.

383 thousand a year.

25 % of all California births are to illegal immigrants.

Under Current law, a child born on U.S. soil has citizenship.

When child turns 21, he or she can sponsor entire family.

14th Amendment grants citizenship to individuals born in U. S. / Section 5 allows how it will be applied.

Miller’s bill would not apply if one parent is here legally.

8.25.05

In the past year 118,000, (30%) of the most violent crime inmates in our prisons are not U. S. citizens, costing us over 1 Billion dollars a year.  When you look at the percentage of illegal aliens in the U. S., it is only 3%.

We certainly do have a huge problem! Not all illegal aliens want to work, and even if all of them want to work they are still willing to break the law.

My mother applied for a visa to live and work her and then many years later became a U. S. citizen. If you are a straight up person you should do the legal way any other way in my book, I wouldn’t trust that person ever.

SCHOOL

In London England (7.05) there is an organization wanting to ban the word fail because the children need encouragement, not that they haven’t done very well. Like the aspirations would be crushed to learn.

They want to replace fail with “Deferred success: Headed for failure” instead.

Geez....

Last year-

I was talking to someone recently about Liberal professors. And wham, bam, I caught a conversation on it.

Steve, (have no idea how to spell his name) from West Valley College in California, spoke about his History class from the Civil war to the present. Steve started talking about his History professor. “He (the professor) started off the conversation by telling us not to let Bush continue to lie to us, continue to fool us.” The class was during the Republican Convention.  The professor said, “Do you think the Republicans in N. Y. are telling us anything but lies?” He finished by saying, and I quote, “It is ok to be a Republican but it is hot in Hell.”

Jonathan knight is the Department Director of Academic Freedom and Tenure for the American Assoc. of University Professors. “Let me make an observation that we have known for decades that the academic profession is among the most liberal group of all professions in the U. S. We have also known for decades the faculty is deeply divided in their opinions. You find in the Humanities, the Arts, and the Social Sciences the more liberal professors. In the schools of Engineering, Agriculture, and Business, the more Conservative professors teach. There are hundreds of thousands of classes being attended by 14-15 million students by over a million faculties. Is it possible that some faculty members step across the line and improperly try to proselytize their students for political reasons and religious reasons? I imagine it can happen and occasionally it has happened. However, the notion that there is a corruption in the heart of the academic enterprise is very wrong indeed.

I appreciate the professor’s opinion. In addition, what did he teach before becoming Director of University professors? He is probably right-on in the separate classes versus Liberal/Conservative. I still think any student should be aware of the potential for professor with any political (and a host of other agendas.) slant in their presentations.
