Until I complete the website which is looking further and further as we go, we will be using a new blog. The blog can be reached at www.heartofahammer.com or http://heartofahammer.blogspot.com/ so please change your favorite to one of those. This is a little easier to use and you can post comments. The look might change here and there while I figure the site out but I wanted the comments section to be up for Tristan's B Day this month.

O God, You called Abraham Your servant out of Ur and kept him safe and sound in all his wanderings. If it is Your will, protect Your servants. Be for us a support when setting out, friendship along the way, a little shade from the sun, a mantle against cold and rain, a crutch on slippery paths, and a haven in shipwreck. Bear us up in fatigue, and defend us under attack. Under Your protection, let us fulfill the purpose for our trip and return safe and sound to our home. Amen

Our trip through life is hard enough without you Tristan. Please help ease our minds and hearts while we are away from our comfort zone. Jesus bless us with a safe travel until we return.

I apologize for not having the guest book figured out. On Easter Sunday I could not get it to work and have tried to fix it since. I will be working on getting the main site setup here as soon as I can. I wanted it done months ago but at the same time I am afraid to start because I don't want to finish it. It is a mind game that continues when you lose someone you love. You do anything you can to hold onto anything you can. This is our life. Easter Joy

Jesus came to earth,
To show us how to live,
How to put others first,
How to love and how to give.

Then He set about His work,
That God sent Him to do;
He took our punishment on Himself;
He made us clean and new.

He could have saved Himself,
Calling angels from above,
But He chose to pay our price for sin;
He paid it out of love.

Our Lord died on Good Friday,
But the cross did not destroy
His resurrection on Easter morn
That fills our hearts with joy.

Now we know our earthly death,
Like His, is just a rest.
We'll be forever with Him
In heaven, where life is best.

So we live our lives for Jesus,
Think of Him in all we do.
Thank you Savior; Thank you Lord.

Although this is not the way we wanted to celebrate our first Easter with Tristan, we know he is in a perfect place with his Grandfather and Great Grandfathers. I wish I could tell you it gets easier but as the seasons change and children come out to play the realization of our loneliness and sadness just come back. If you don't think prayer works I think you need to try it more. God listens, that is the only way we can continue on with our lives.

It seems that the last couple weeks have been the worst in a long time. We know Tristan is in Heaven but that does not make it any easier for us down here. Nights are long and sleep is little. Someday we will hold Tristan again. That we know for sure.
