Skins are cut and pilot drilled.  Plans call for a 14 degree bend inward to align with the forward fuse.  No
need for a big bending brake here just use some angle clamped on top of your bench with a board and a rubber mallet.

Checking to make sure the angle is correct.  Close enough is good enough here.

Not a good picture.  Here I am aligning and clamping the longerons to the side skins.  I did this on the edge
of my work bench.  This is another time that I am thankful for the 2" overhang I designed into the bench. Don't forget
about that .025 set back needed for the bottom skin.

With the overhange I could easily drill up through both parts.

Adding the Vertical Channels.  F27-01 is mounted on the angle that was made earlier on the F26-01 Side Panel Skin.
It is important to get this location right as it will effect your alignment with the forward fuse later.
CONSTRUCTION TIP! This is another assembly that is made easier by applying double back tape to hold parts in position while you  clamp
                                    and drill them.

                                    To get the
required 1/4" set back for the Vertical Channels from the Top Longeron, I used a 1/4" plate clamped to a 1-2-3 block.
Once again using the double back tape to temporarily holding the part in place until I could clamp it and drill it, I was
                                    very pleased with the results.

I had to chamfer the F27-09 Fairlead Assembly here.  I've been told by my Tech Advisor that having parts rub is
a bad thing so I am just playing it safe here.
Once the Vertical Channels are stuck in place with double back tape you can turn the whole thing over on top of some
2x4's and clamp them before drilling the rivet holes.  Here I have already drilled, deburred and riveted.
