Why buy Fair Trade?
Fair trade is a global movement dedicated to improve the quality of life for farmers and requires a higher standarad for food production. When farmers are ensured a fair wage for their farm products, they can better meet the needs of their families and farm. A higher standard for food production, enhances the quality of the environment, farmer, animals, and consumer.
Whenever All Things Food has the opportunity to purchase a product from small, farmer-owned co-ops with the "fair trade" certification, we will do so.
And, as always, we use these basic principles for our local producers.
