Eliza Caroline, of Kentville, N.S., b. June 24, 1798; d. in Fasport, Mar. 2, 1867. She married there Sept. 14, 1823 Samuel B. Wadsworth, an uncle of the poet Longfellow. They had children: Elizabeth, Annie, Amy, Mary Newton, Samuel Longfellow, Edward Henry, and Lucia W.

Aaron DeWolf, of Kentville, N.S., b. there Apr. 16, 1800; d. Antigonish, N.S., Mar. 1871. He married there Dec. 28, 1824 Rebecca Purchell, who was born in 1804 and died Nov. 31, 1892. They resided in Kentville, Halifax County, Arichat and Antigonish where they settled. He was Government Surveyor and Registrar of Deeds. He had the old family Bible of his grandfather, Stephen.

Edward Henry, of Halifax, N.S., b. there June 15, 1802; d. there Jan. 11, 1883; m. June 16, 1831 Louisa Pennell, eldest daughter of John Pennell of Lunenburg. She descended from the family of Rudolphs of German extraction in Lunenburg. Her mother was sister of William Randolph of Legislative Council of Nova Scotia.

Charles Fortnam, of Halifax, N.S., b. there July 11, 1804; d. at Ft. Hood, Cape Breton, Oct. 20, 1864. He married Dec. 27, 1841 Mary Lee Tremain. He was Probate Judge in 1844-1859 for Richmond County and was a member of House of Assembly in 1847 from the same county, and continued until it was dissolved in 1851.

Mary Dana, of Cornwallis, N.S., b. there Dec. 19, 1807 and m. Dec. 19, 1936 (sic) Geo. B. Hierlihy. They had Charles, who was born at Calais, Me., Aug. 16, 1837.

William Moore, of Antigonish, N.S., b. there Apr. 24, 1810, and d. in Halifax June 7, 1882. He married Apr. 24, 1836 Annie P. Thompson.

Stephen Harris, of Antigonish, N.S., was b. there May 23, 1812; m. Feb. 20, 1846 Mary E. Whidden who was born Jan. 12, 1825. He was a salesman for a gun firm.

Louisa Maria, of Antigonish, N.S., was born there June 10, 1814, and m. Nov. 23, 1843 Milo L. Patton. They had Stanford, George, & Mary Louise.

Luther, of North Brookfield, Mass., was born in Kirby, Vt., Oct. 21, 1809. His father died in early manhood leaving Luther and two younger brothers to care for their mother. Luther was of the seventh generation in line from Robert of Watertown. He married in Holden, Mass., Jan. 2, 1834 Sarah Norse, who was born in Townsend, Vt., Aug. 13, 1812. She was sixth in line from Francis Norse, whose wife Rebecca was victim of the witchcraft delusion. Luther's wife, Sarah, died Nov. 30, 1858, and he married the second time in 1860 Mrs. T. F. Burrage, and after her death he married Mrs. Harwood, who survived him. He died in South Royalston, Dec. 8, 1886.

Francis Alfred, of Worcester, Mass., b. there Nov. 17, 1846. He married Rexanna M. Grout, who died Dec. 24, 1900. He was a member of Odd Fellows, Masons, and the Grange. He was city alderman for years 1887, 1888, and 1889, and was mayor for 1890-1893. He was state Senator for years 1899, 1900, and 1901.

He married in Waltham, Mass., Apr. 9, 1772 Anna Cooledge, who was born at Watertown, Mass., Oct. 2, 1752 and died in Lincoln, Mass., July 1, 1846. He served many enlistments, among them being first lieutenant under Capt. Francis Brown's Company, Middlesex County Regiment of Massachusetts.

Hannah, b. Waltham, Mass., July 25, 1753. She married in Waltham, Mass. Nov. 4, 1773, Joel Smith of Weston, Mass., the Int. having been published July 24, 1773 prior.

Phinehas, b. Waltham, Mass., Aug. 2, 1756.

Amos, b. Waltham, Mass., Nov. 28, 1755; and died in Boston, Mass., Oct. 28, 1809. He married in Waltham, Mass., Oct. 19, 1779 Esther Harrington, who died Oct. 11, 1794.

He was among the list of men drafted comprising one-sixth part of the militia of Weston, Mass., as returned by Capt. Jonathan Fiske Pierce's Company which marched on the alarm of April 9, 1775 to Concord and Lexington, at the request of General Washington when Dorchester Heights were taken. He was also in the list of men belonging to Col. Wheelock's Regiment who were discharged Nov. 11, 1776.

Abigail, b. Waltham, Mass., Jan. 14, 1743 and she must have died before 1784 when her husband married again. She was married in Waltham, Mass., Sept. 11, 1760 to Abraham Pierce.

Andrew Benjamin, b. Oct. 23, 1845. He enlisted Dec. 7, 1863 for service in the Civil War, in the 24th New York Cavalry. He enlisted as private for three years, and he was appointed as Corporal of Company H. May 31, 1865, and was mustered out at Clouds Mills, Va., June 26, 1865. He was present at Appomatox, when General Lee surrendered to Grant. They resided at Alexander, N.Y. He married Sept. 13, 1864, Adell Perkins. The wedding occurred when he was at home on sick leave. He was deputy sheriff in N.Y. for 20 years.

Jefferson, of Clarksburg, Mass., was born before 1771 and d. in 1804. The intention of marriage was published June 21, 1792 to Rebecca Darling. She administered his estate Jan. 1, 1805.

Reuben, of Adams, Mass., was born before Apr. 12, 1825, when the will of his father was probated and under which he received a bequest. In 1839 he conveyed to his son, Reuben, jr., land from the estate of his father, Daniel, and also to Savilla Harrington, spinster. He married May 3, 1805 Rosannah Wright.

Daniel was born in Adams, Mass., before 1786, and probably died before 1810. He married Mary Wilbur who quite claimed to Wanton Harrington her rights in the estate of his grandfather, Daniel, and also to Reuben, Jr., her rights in the land bequeathed to Wanton Harrington by his grandfather, Daniel, and 8180 that share in grandfather's estate which comes to him through the death of his brother, Zimri.

In 1807 he joined his father, Daniel, in land deed there, and in 1858 he sold at South Milford the same land to Russell Harrington, that had been willed by Daniel Sr. to Seth.

Seth of Adams, Mass., was born there July 6, 1787 and died Aug. 7, 1878. He married at Stanford, Vt., Mar. 10, 1807 Nancy Sherman of Gloucester, R.I., who was born in 1788 and died in 1854.

He was born on same farm where he died, and which farm was left him by his father, Daniel. He was a carpenter and built the Penniman Row. He was a life long member of the Baptist Church. For the last twenty years of his life he was blind from cataracts. He died at the home of his son-in-law, Thomas Haley, who got a portion of the home farm when it was divided.

War., being then only 15 years of age. He was quite near and testified at subsequent investigation that the British fired first at the Battle of Lexington. Hiram of Danby, Vt., was p. born about 1815 and died in Vera Cruz Hospital, July 12, 1847. He was one of the 16 recruits sent to Mexico in 1846, and this fact, though quite indefinite, is our only key, at this time, to the years of the birth of his brothers and sisters.

Lucina must have died before Aug. 1, 1872 when her father's will was proved, and her two sons received bequests.

He was constable in the years 1802-1804. He conveyed land to Elijah Freeman in Washington County, N. Y., on Sept. 30, 1799. In 1820 he received land there from Joseph Harrington. July 16, 1822 he sold land to Clark Burdick, Aug. 29, 1829 he sold land in Berlin County to George Allen; Oct. 29, 1930 he joined George Harrington and Rebecca, his wife, in the sale of land in Berlin to Joseph Russell; June 25, 1841, he sold land there to Calvin E. Mather; June 30, 1841, he sold land to George Harrington.

Andrew of Gloucester, R. I., b. before 1747. Married there May 4, 1768, Isabel Ballow, dau. of Jeremiah Ballow. She was born in 1744. He was shown as head of a family at the census of 1774 and 1790. He enlisted June 25, 1760 for a period of three years for service in the Rev. War. He received bounties from the town of Norwick, Conn. His name appears on muster rolls for Rhode Island and she was drawing pension Mar. 18, 1818. He died in 1815, and she died June 9, 1819.

He was the son of John and Elizabeth Hamer. They were both buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Rochester, N. Y. They had a son, Charles M., born. June 16, 1860 and d. Nov. 18, 1862.

Charles B., b. in Macedon, N. Y. Sept. 14, 1831; d. there Nov. 25, 1889, and m. Apr. 1863, Mary Lapham, who was born in Macedon, N. Y. Aug. 19, 1839, and died Apr. 11, 1875. She was daughter of John (Abraham Joshua, John, John, and his line), and Salome (Porter) Lapham. (Her line was: William, Noah, Jacob, Samuel, John, and Richard). They were both buried at Macedon, N. Y.

Helen, b. Macedon, N. Y. Apr. 29, 1840; d. in Rochester, (or Macedon) N. Y., Jan. 1, 1915; m. Sept. 23, 1867, Harvey W. Brown, who was born in 1838 and died July 1, 1916. He was the son of Obediah and Phoebe L. Brown. Helen and Harvey were both buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Rochester, N. Y. They had children: Mary H., b. Aug. 17, 1868; Eleanor A., b. Sept. 12, 1870, and d. Oct. 20, 1888; Harvey, b. July 17, 1873, and died May 23, 1882; Walter D., b. Apr. 16, 1878.
