p. John of Oxford, Chenango Co., N.Y., b. in Fishkill, Dutchess Co., N.Y., 1756-57. He left 6 children: Joshua, John, Hillamon, David, Polly, and Rebecca. He resided at Fishkill, N.Y. then in Southwick Mass., then in Vermont, from where he came about 1779 to Chenango Co., N.Y. He may also have resided at Greenbush, N.Y., near Albany. He joined the Rev. Army at Stillwater, Rensalaer Co., N.Y., and served in same company with Benjamin, Abraham, James, Isaac, and Zachariah, all Harringtons, among whom were 3 sons of Benjamin and Hannah Clark. He was a Rev. War pensioner June 1, 1840, aged 83.At the 1st Fed. Census, 1790, a John Harrington was at Montgomery, N.Y., head of a family of 1 man, 2 boys, and 1 girl.
p. James of Lebanon, Columbia Co., N.Y., b. before 1760; m. 1st Harriet; m 2nd, Lydia. He p. came from Vermont to Columbia Co., N.Y., about 1776-80, and was p. brother of John, who came from Vermont to Chenang Co., N.Y., about 1770.He served as private in Rev. War in same N.Y. company with Benjamin, Abraham, Isaac, John and Zachariah. He was in Capt. McNitt's Co., Webster Reg., in Capt. McNitt's Co., Armstrong's Reg., in Capt. Brie's Co., Van Renssalaer's Reg. He was listed in Levies of Albany Co., 4th Reg. under Col. Kilian Van Renssalaer, with Abraham, Benjamin, Isaac, and Nathaniel Harrington.In 1800 the Fed. Census lists a James Harrington as a Shodack, N.Y. both he and his wife between 26 and 45 years old, and with children: 2 boys and 1 girl, all under 10.

Mary A., b. Jan. 24, 1840; d. Raparius, N.Y., Feb. 24, 1924; m. Wilfred Johnson. She left no children.
Martin Z., b. Mar. 23, 1846; m. Mary A. Potter. They had Elmer H., Alma, Jesse D., and Ernest. He is still living on Zail's farm at Riparius, N.Y., in 1931. About 1 mile from there is the place where Zail lived with his uncle, Silas.
