Samuel, b. Lexington, Mass., Oct. 3, 1764; m. Aug. 27, 1787, Mary Stimpson. He moved to Westminister, Mass., as a herdsman, where he died May 4, 1825. She was born 1767, and died in Princeton, Mass., Dec. 6, 1833, and was referred to as mother of Charles. He applied for pension from Westminister, Mass., in 1818 then aged 53, and he says "Have had 13 children, naming them all, two being unable to work." He was paid bounty for service in Continental Army for 3 years until discharged.

His will filed Manchester, Vt., Oct. 30, 1844; provided, wife Ann, to have all real and personal property during her life. Four Bartlett grand children, Mary, John, Sarah, and Elizabeth, and two Boss grandchildren, Jonathan and Anna, each to receive $5 after death of widow, Ann. Two daughters, Sarah Chase and Roxy Burgess, are to $50. Son, John, to have all my wearing apparel and clock, remainder to go to my four sons, Arnold, John, Henry, and Josiah, and daughter, Freelove. Sons, Arnold and John were made Executors. John p. served in Rev. War from R.I.

In his will filed at Salem, N.Y., he named children, Elias, Henry W., Jesse, Daniel, Caleb M., Sarah, Mary Ann, Serena, and Maria; and two grandsons, Elias and Henry, sons of Elias. Jonathan, b. Bedford, Mass., about 1744; m. Feb. 13, 1766, Ruth Fiske, dau. of Dr. Robert Fiske by widow, Grover. After Jonathan's death, she married again John Smith of Boston, Mass. Jonathan was killed at first fire of British at Battle of Lexington, Apr. 19, 1775.
Thomas, b. Bedford, Mass., May 12, 1745; m. there July 4, 1771, Lucy Perry. He came to work for Peter Tufts, Jr., Mar. 28, 1768. He served in Rev. War as private under Capt. John Parker in May and June 1775. He served at Roxbury, Mass. in Capt. John Bridges' Co. Colonel Eleazer Brooks' Regiment, in Mar. 1776, and other enlistments.
They moved from Lexington, Mass., about 1776 to Connecticut and a year or two later moved to Chenango County, N.Y., where they raised a family of 9 children.

His will was dated 1790, but he died before the Federal Census of that year. She died 1801. He was named in will of his grandfather, James Walling, who died Apr. 4, 1753. The daughters of James Walling, who died Apr. 4, 1753, were: Abigail, Mercy, Mary Elizabeth, and one other. She received bequest uner will of persons not shown as related to her, and who had no children, John Balcome, (1698 1739), and had wife Sarah (Bartlett) Balcome, who d. Nov. 19, 1756. In his will he named his wife and children. He was there at the time of Census of 1774, but he had died before Census of 1790.
