Welcome, b. Smithfield, R.I., Apr. 18, 1768; d. at Farmington, N.Y., Apr. 18, 1837; m. 1st at Palmira, N.Y., May 1, 1794; Elizabeth Durfee, b. Tiverton, R.I., Mar. 29, 1768, and d. Farmington, July, 5, 1804; m. 2nd to Mercy Gardner, b. 1772, and d. Mar. 31, 1858. Both were Friends, and were buried S. Farmington, where his first wife was probably buried. He gave land on which was erected the 1st Friends' Meeting house in 1823, and on which sight monument was erected by Herendeen Association.

Philadelphia, b. Cumberland, R.I., Nov. 20, 1769; d. in Ohio of old age; m. p. at Adams, Mass., 1784, John McOmber, a soldier in the Rev. War. They moved from Adams, Mass. to Farmington, N.Y. about 1790 when one of the children was 7 mo. old. Later they both moved to Ohio, where both died at a ripe old age, after rearing 11 children.

Huldah, b. Cumberland, R.I., Apr. 22, 1772; d. at Farmington, N.Y. June 28, 1856; married there Sept. 8, 1793, Brice Aldrich, b. Dec. 7, 1771, and d. Sept. 6, 1853. They were both Friends and buried at N. Farmington. Had 10 children.

Hannah, b. Lanesboro, Cumberland, Aug. 30, 1775; d. Farmington, N.Y. May 20, 1842; married in Adams Mason, Mass., about 1797, Samuel Mason, a cabinet maker, b. at Swanse, R.I., June 6, 1772, and d. Farmington, May 25, 1842. Resided at S. Adams, Mass., till 1801 when they moved to Farmington, N.Y. and purchased farm joining that of her father, Nathan where they both resided till death. Were both Friends. They had: Sylinda, Gardner, Mercy, Sophia, Mary, and Dennison.

He was a tanner and built the first tannery in Farmington, N.Y. He and his family seems to have moved from Farmington, N.Y. to Michigan as did quite a number of the descendants of Nathan.

He was suspended for further evidence of his indigence. He was among the men mustered for Worcester Co., Capt. Hubbard's regiment, muster July 2, 1779, term 9 mo.

His will recorded May 4, 1833, shows bequest as follows: Rhoda Cushman, $1., and 1/3 of her mother's clothes. She had received her portion, Cyrell, $1., he had received his full part. Nathaniel, $1., and a farm described. Trubah Fassett, wife of Benjamin $100, and $100 in stock and cattle, and 1/3 of her mother's clothes and furniture. Narcissa Tinkham, grand-daughter, certain jewels, bedding, and silverware, adn 1/3 of her mother's clothing. Caleb, father's personal effects, and remainder. He was made executor.

Nathaniel, b. Aug. 12, 1750; he was a graduate of Harvard, Class of 1769, and was physician. He sailed in Privateer from Marblehead and was sent as prisoner to Forto Prison, England, when ship was captured. He escaped but in a round about trip he died in Jamaica. He served in Rev. War as Surgeon's mate, 21st Regiment from Mass., Apr. 21, 1775 to Aug. 1, 1775.

Peter, b. Watertown, Mass., 1752; d. there in 1813; m. Anne Hammond and was head of the family of 1 man, 5 boys, and 4 girls there in 1790. He was a member of Boston Tea Party and a minute man in Capt. Samuel Barnard's Company at Lexington Alarm.

Charles, b. May 19, 1759; d. 1817; m. in Boston, Sept. 20, 1781 to Mary Bond, and in the same place July 5, 1792, to Lucy Bemis. During the Rev. War he served in Capt. Ebner Craft's Company, Col. Wm. Bond's Regiment, and in 1776 when Dorchester Heights was taken.

While at work on the original exchange bldg. in Worcester, wall was nearly complete when staging fell and several men injured. He was picked up for dead, but revived; his knee was crushed and was finally amputated after 5 years. confinement; he studied and became school teacher and then kept store at several locations, last at Harrington's corner. In 1812 flour sold for $25 per barrel. They had 3 children.
