George Herbert Harrington, of Austin, Texas, the compiler of these records, b. Kingsbury, N.Y., Mar. 15, 1872, son of James Henry and wife, Marcella Iowa (Benjamin) Harrington; m. 1st in May 1901, Ada Haymond, b. 1881 and died in Battle Creek, Michigan, Sept. 1918, daughter of Floyd Haymond. This marriage was at Salem, W. Va.

He married 2nd, May 24, 1920 (pencil correction on month??), Zula Humphries, daughter of George W. and wife, Sally (Fluit) Humphries, of Odem, Texas. She was born Nov. 1, 1889 (pencil correction from 1890).

Floyd Haymond was former Sheriff of Ritchie County, W. Va., and wife, Laura A. (Ford) Haymond.

He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1896 and in 1897 became an humble employee of the Carter Oil Company, a subsidiary of the Standard Oil Company of New Jersey, for which company and its various subsidiaries he worked for many years, being advanced ot the position of Division Superintendent for the State of West Virginia in the Carter Oil Company, and later transferred to Magnolia Petroleum Company in Texas, where he served as its Superintendent of Production, and 2nd Vice-President.

Mildred Evaline, b. Pennsboro, W. Va., June 8, 1902; graduated at University of Michigan in 1923; she toured around the world on the Floating University, studying for the Master's Degree, leaving from New York City in October, 1928, and traveling westward by way of the Panama Canal, San Francisco, Honolula, and returning to New York City in July 1929 by way of Europe, where she was married June 12, 1929 in Geneva, Switzerland to John Decker, of Clarence, Iowa, a graduate of Grinnell College in Iowa, and of Columbia University, and an instructing professor, and an executive assistant to the President of the Floating University. They reside at Columbia, Mo., where he is instructor in Stephens College. They have one sone, John A., b. Oct. 25, 1935, and a daughter Nancy Harrington, b. June 30, 1939.

George Haymond, b. Salem, W. Va., July 3, 1903; m. in Ann Arbor, Mich., 1926, Doris Gladden, of Bentenville, Arkansas. Both were students in the University of Michigan, and both graduated in 1926. They reside in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he is a geologist fo the Barnesdall Oil Company. Resides in Houston, Texas, 1939.

Feathers; to his grandchildren, George, Adeline, and Marcia Ann, children of his son, Nicholas, deceased; to his sons, Henry T., George F., Herman E., and Hamman, who was made Executor.

He was prob. the son of Nicholas and w. Nancy.
